Hereditary was an amazing movie only for the exact reason why The Exorcist was a good movie, shock value. Do something with a child in a grotesque way in a movie and people go wild. Nothing scary about hereditary, got more blue balls waiting for something scary than anything but the movie did have my attention the whole time.
