We never did arms fully out in the snoo. We started using a zipadee zip around 5 months as a transition to a sleep sack many months later. Strapped in and zipped in up to the waist with the ZZ underneath the snoo swaddle. And naps in the crib in the ZZ. We also never used weaning mode.

I’ve learned from experience/read that babies have a hard time napping more than one sleep cycle (30-45 min) before 4-6 months. Mine will only sleep that long in the Snoo, but maxes out at 3 hours when held and soothed during mid nap wakeups. He’s up to 7 hours at night but still short Snoo naps.

On the SNOO blog they recommend increasing the starting level motion/volume. The theory is that the four month regression hits because the baby is becoming more aware of their surroundings so any noises/lights etc wake them up very easily. The higher starting levels help cover up the extra stimuli. The snoo is the only one where the babys swaddle is actually strapped into the device, though. I used the vibration feature a lot on the Halo and loved it but hated that it was operated by batteries bc I’d have to change them every 4 days and crawl on the ground under a sleeping baby trying to change them without waking her up. The font, Reddit Sans, looks nice, but the 3D Snoo kind of reminds me of the Michelin Man.
